RANCHO CORDOVA, CA (May 24, 2024) – A pedestrian was struck and injured by a car on Sunrise Boulevard, Wednesday afternoon.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on May 22, at about 4:20 p.m. For reasons still under investigation, a vehicle hit the victim near Coloma Road.
 
Emergency crews transported the victim to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
 
Responders temporarily closed affected areas to make way for an investigation.
