Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Metro Train near California Avenue in Monrovia

 
MONROVIA, CA (August 31, 2021) – A pedestrian was hit and killed by a train near California Avenue and Duarte Road in Monrovia Friday, August 27.
 
The Metro L Line train struck the pedestrian in the area around 4:25 a.m. As a result, the victim suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
 
At this time, the identity of the pedestrian was not immediately available. The California Highway Patrol is still investigating the circumstances of this fatal accident.
