Hit-and-Run Crash on East Imperial Highway in Willowbrook Area, Pedestrian Dead

 
WILLOWBROOK, CA (August 25, 2022) – A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run crash on East Imperial Highway near the unincorporated area of Willowbrook early Tuesday morning.
 
The fatal crash happened around 1:56 a.m. on August 23 at Compton Avenue near 105 Freeway. According to the California Highway Patrol, the male pedestrian was walking in the area when a vehicle hit him. After the initial crash, a second vehicle also struck him.
 
First responders found the man near a homeless encampment that is under the freeway overpass.
 
The victim suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. Authorities only described him as someone in his 30s.
 
The involved vehicles reportedly fled the scene.
 
At this time, an investigation is ongoing.
