Man Dies after Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver on Broadway in South LA
SOUTH LOS ANGELES, CA (August 13, 2022) – A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run crash at Broadway and 85th Street in the South Los Angeles area on Wednesday evening.
The fatal crash happened around 9:35 p.m. on August 10. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, a man in his 40s was crossing the street when a dark-colored vehicle traveling northbound on Broadway struck him.
The driver of the vehicle drove away after the crash, leaving the victim with severe injuries.
Paramedics rushed the man to a hospital, where he later died. Information on his identity was not immediately available.
A standing reward of up to $50,000 has been offered by the city of Los Angeles for information that helps solve this fatal hit-and-run.
