Man Dies after Struck by Hit-and-Run Vehicle on 89th Street in Green Meadows

 
GREEN MEADOWS, CA (November 29, 2022) – A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run crash at 89th Street and Central Avenue late Sunday evening on November 27.
 
The accident happened around 10:22 p.m. in the Green Meadows neighborhood of South Los Angeles. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the male pedestrian was walking westbound across Central Avenue when a northbound vehicle struck him.
 
After the crash, the vehicle kept going.
 
Responding firefighters pronounced the man dead at the scene. Authorities only described the victim as someone in his 40s or 50s.
 
At this time, there is no vehicle or suspect description. Further investigation is underway.
