Deputies Arrest Two Underage Drinkers after Hit-and-Run Crash on Redlands Boulevard in Moreno Valley Injuring Pedestrian

 
MORENO VALLEY, CA (August 15, 2023) – A pedestrian was injured in a hit-and-run crash at Redlands Boulevard and Alessandro Boulevard in Moreno Valley on Saturday morning.
 
The crash happened around 6:26 a.m. on August 12. According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office, 19-year-old Neftali Larios was driving a vehicle with two passengers when he lost control and struck the pedestrian.
 
After the crash, Larios and his passengers fled the scene on foot into a residential neighborhood.
 
Deputies arrived and found the pedestrian suffering from unspecified injuries.
 
Witnesses reported the suspects completed a beer run prior to the crash.
 
Deputies later found Larios and his passenger 20-year-old Jose Rios. They arrested Larios on suspicion of felony hit-and-run and DUI, and Rios on outstanding warrants. Both live in Moreno Valley.
 
The third suspect, described as a 19-year-old man, remained at large.
 
An investigation is ongoing.
