Man Dies in Cotati Pedestrian Accident on Highway 101

 
COTATI, CA (February 9, 2024) — A pedestrian hit by a truck on Highway 101 near Highway 116 Thursday morning died from his major injuries.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly accident happened around 5:15 a.m. For unknown reasons, a truck driver hit a man standing on the shoulder of the southbound highway near a brake-check zone.
 
Subsequently, CHP-Santa Rosa units arrived to determine the events and learned that the man passed away from his injuries. Officials have not released his name.
 
At this time, authorities are looking into the possibilities that could have led to this fatal crash. Thus, if any witnesses can help the CHP with this investigation, please call their offices.
