SHERMAN OAKS, CA (July 21, 2023) — A pedestrian was hit and killed on the 405 Freeway near Ventura Boulevard.
 
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the fatal pedestrian accident happened around 7:15 a.m. Thursday.
 
Under unclear circumstances, a driver of an unknown vehicle struck a person on the northbound side of the freeway. Paramedics responded to the crash to find one person with fatal injuries.
 
Due to the accident, officials closed the northbound lanes to investigate.
