Pedestrian Dies after Struck by Semi and Other Cars on 5 Freeway in Stockton

 
STOCKTON, CA (October 23, 2023) – A pedestrian was fatally struck by several vehicles on 5 Freeway in Stockton Saturday morning on October 21.
 
The fatal crash happened around 6:16 a.m. near the Fremont Street off-ramp. According to the California Highway Patrol, a semi truck hit the pedestrian along the southbound freeway.
 
After the initial crash, several other cars also struck the pedestrian’s body.
 
First responders pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene.
 
It is unknown at this time if drugs or alcohol was a factor. The CHP is still investigating the cause of the crash.
