Broadside Crash on North Mollison Avenue in El Cajon Kills 76-Year-Old Man

 
EL CAJON, CA (December 22, 2022) – Patrick Johnson was killed in a broadside accident in El Cajon on December 9.
 
The fatal accident happened around 5:12 p.m. in the 1450 block of North Mollison Avenue. According to the CHP, Johnson was driving a Chrysler sedan when he had a broadside collision with a Toyota SUV.
 
Responding paramedics rushed Johnson to the Sharp Memorial Hospital Emergency Department, where he died from multiple blunt force injuries on December 12 at 12:22 p.m. He was 76 years old from El Cajon.
 
Johnson was hypertensive and had atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease. These conditions contributed to his death, according to reports.
 
The El Cajon Police Department is handling the investigation.
