One Airlifted in Rollover Accident on Highway 395 near Macon Road [Helendale, CA]

Rollover Crash on Highway 395 in Helendale Involving 3 Vehicles Leaves 1 with Critical Injuries

 
HELENDALE, CA (December 22, 2022) – One person was airlifted in a rollover accident on Highway 395 in Helendale Sunday morning on December 18.
 
The accident happened around 9:17 a.m. near Macon Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, a semi tractor trailer, a pickup truck and a sedan collided for unknown reasons. The sedan had rolled over multiple times before landing on its side.
 
San Bernardino Fire Department crews responded and found two people trapped inside the sedan.
 
Mercy Air then took one of the patients to Loma Linda University Medical Center in critical condition.
 
The other person was rushed over by ground ambulance to a local hospital with unspecified injuries.
 
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
