Patricia Lopez Detained in Deadly Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Crash on Live Oak Avenue near Speedway Drive

 
IRWINDALE, CA (February 2, 2023) Patricia Lopez faces charges in a fatal hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Live Oak Avenue near Speedway Drive.
 
According to reports, the deadly pedestrian crash happened around 9:24 p.m. Tuesday. Under unclear circumstances, 50-year-old Patricia Lopez struck a male pedestrian on Live Oak Avenue before leaving the scene. Soon after, Los Angeles County Fire Department responded and determined that the victim was hit by an eastbound driver.
 
Due to his traumatic injuries, the man died at the scene. Authorities have not released his name.
 
The following morning, police arrested Lopez and impounded her vehicle for the investigation. Officers have her booked at West Covina jail on vehicular manslaughter and felony hit and run with a bail set at $50,000.
