SAN DIEGO, CA (November 8, 2021) — A passenger suffered injuries in a rollover accident on the 8 Freeway near Mission Center Road.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, a driver in an unknown make and model crashed off the side of the 8 Freeway. Around 1:00 a.m., the vehicle overturned several times, trapping a passenger inside the cabin.
 
Soon after, firefighters responded and used tools to pry open the door of the vehicle to save the passenger, whom they later brought to a hospital.
 
However, authorities found no sign of the driver at the scene.
 
At this time, CHP investigators plan to track down the vehicle’s owner. Therefore, anyone with more information on this accident should contact the CHP.
