Porsche Passenger Dead after Being Struck by Dislodged Tire on 91 Freeway near Lincoln Avenue

 
CORONA, CA (April 27, 2021) – A passenger died Sunday, April 25, after he was struck by a dislodged tire on 91 Freeway near Lincoln Avenue.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at about 5:00 p.m. For reasons still under investigation, the left front wheel of an eastbound Ford Econoline became dislodged.
 
Then, the tire traveled over the center divider, across express lanes, and into the front windshield of a silver Porsche coupe. The dislodged tire reportedly hit the front passenger.
 
Corona firefighters rushed the passenger to a hospital, where he later died. Authorities did not release the name and age of the victim.
 
As per reports, the Ford occupants and the Porsche driver did not sustain injuries.
 
CHP continues to investigate the fatal accident. Officers ask witnesses to call CHP’s Accident Investigation Unit at (951) 637-8000.
