Motorcyclist Killed in Cajon Pass Crash Identified as Apple Valley Man

 
CAJON PAS, CA (April 26, 2021) – Alex Zwingmann died in a motorcycle accident in the Cajon Pass early Sunday morning, April 25.
 
The accident happened around 4:10 a.m. on 15 Freeway near Highway 138, approximately a mile from Oak Hill Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, the 26-year-old Apple Valley man was riding his motorcycle northbound when a black sedan struck him.
 
As a result, Zwingmann suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene, according to the San Bernardino County Coroner’s office.
 
Northbound traffic on 15 Freeway was temporarily stopped prompting CHP to issue a SigAlert for several hours. All lanes were re-opened roughly around 6:21 am.
 
The official cause of the accident is under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
