Oscar Mancillas Jr. Killed in Three-Vehicle Accident on Alessandro Boulevard [Riverside, CA]

Two Speeding Cars Rear-End Big Rig in Riverside Leaving One Person Dead

 
RIVERSIDE, CA (August 14, 2023) – Oscar Mancillas Jr. was killed in a three-vehicle accident in Riverside early Saturday morning on August 12.
 
The fatal accident happened around 1:46 a.m. on the Alessandro Boulevard off-ramp of the Riverside (215) Freeway. According to the California Highway Patrol, a Tesla and a Kia sedan were traveling at a high rate of speed when both rear-ended a big rig.
 
Riverside Fire Department crews responded and found one person trapped in the wreckage. It was unclear if that person was Mancillas.
 
Mancillas suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. He was a 23-year-old Perris resident. It was also unclear if he was one of the drivers or a passenger.
 
CHP officials are still trying to determine whether alcohol or drugs was a factor. An investigation is ongoing.
