Oscar Bejarano Jr. Killed in High-Speed Crash on Orange Grove Avenue [South Pasadena, CA]

High-Speed Crash in Pasadena Kills One and Critically Injures Two

 
SOUTH PASADENA, CA (August 14, 2023) – Oscar Bejarano Jr. died in a high-speed crash in South Pasadena early Saturday morning on August 12.
 
The fatal crash happened shortly before 2:00 a.m. near Columbia Street. According to the South Pasadena Police Department, 21-year-old David Silva of Sun Valley was speeding nearly 100 mph in a silver 2020 Infiniti. He was heading southbound when he lost control of the car and crashed into several small trees, sign posts and bushes.
 
The car eventually crashed through a residential garage in the 300 block of Orange Grove Avenue.
 
Bejarano Jr., a 21-year-old North Hills resident, was one of the two passengers in the car. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
 
Silva and another passenger were in critical condition.
 
No one inside the home was injured.

Police believe drugs and alcohol are contributing factors in the crash. They urged anyone with information about the crash to call them at 626-403-7270.
