One Person Dead in Calimesa Two-Car Crash on 10 Freeway

 
CALIMESA, CA (May 10, 2021) — One person died in a two-car accident on the 10 Freeway near Cherry Valley Boulevard Saturday evening.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal two-vehicle crash happened around 9:43 p.m. For unknown reasons, a car struck an SUV in Calimesa. At some point, the vehicle went off the road, crashed and caught on fire before the driver was pinned by the car.
 
Soon after, the Riverside County coroner’s office arrived at the scene. At this time, authorities have no information on the ultimate cause of the accident. However, if anyone has more information, please contact the CHP.
