Two-Vehicle Accident at Newberry and Fairview Roads Ends in Fatality

 
NEWBERRY SPRINGS, CA (May 24, 2022) – At least one person was killed in a two-vehicle accident at Newberry Road and Fairview Road in Newberry Springs on Sunday afternoon.
 
The accident happened around 2:35 p.m. on May 22. According to the California Highway Patrol, a black Chevrolet Silverado and a black Ford Mustang collided at the intersection.
 
At least one of them struck a power pole.
 
Officers arrived and found at least one fatality as a result of the accident.
 
The name, age and hometown of the victim were not immediately available.
 
At this time, it is unknown if drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash. An investigation into this fatality is underway.
