Traffic Accident Involving Dump Truck on Highway 138 in Pinon Hills Ends in Fatality

 
PINON HILLS, CA (July 5, 2022) – At least one person died in a two-vehicle accident on Highway 138 in Pinon Hills on Friday night, July 1.
 
The accident happened around 6:44 p.m. at Ponderosa Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, a Ford F-750 dump truck and a tan Toyota Corolla collided for unknown reasons.
 
Officers responded to the crash site and confirmed at least one fatality as a result of the accident.
 
The identity of the victim was not immediately available.
 
Crews closed the highway in both directions while they cleared the wreckage.
 
At this time, the exact cause of the crash and factors involved remain under investigation.
