Child Dies after Hit by Several Vehicles on Golden State Freeway in Santa Clarita

 
SANTA CLARITA, CA (July 5, 2022) – A child died after hit by several vehicles on Golden State Freeway in Santa Clarita early Saturday morning on July 2.
 
The fatal accident happened around 3:40 a.m. on the northbound lanes of the freeway at Weldon Canyon Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, motorist called to report they struck an unknown stationary object which was blocking the roadway.
 
When officers arrived, they determined that the object was the child who had been struck by several vehicles. The unidentified victim died at the scene.
 
At this time, it is unknown how the child came to be on the freeway. An investigation is underway.
