Fatal Two-Vehicle Accident on 15 Freeway in San Marcos

 
SAN MARCOS, CA (October 17, 2022) – At least one person was killed in a two-vehicle accident on 15 Freeway in San Marcos early Saturday morning, October 15.
 
The accident happened around 2:14 a.m. just south of Deer Springs Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, a black truck and red sedan collided, causing one of them to overturn.
 
A guardrail was also damaged in the crash.
 
First responders confirmed at least one fatality. The San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the identity of the victim once it is confirmed and family members are notified.
 
At this time, the exact cause of the crash and factors involved remain under investigation.
