Train Accident on Beach Boulevard in Buena Park Kills Railway Employee

 
BUENA PARK, CA (March 4, 2021) – One person died in a train accident in the area of Beach Boulevard and Stage Road early Tuesday morning.
 
The accident happened just before 12:30 a.m., March 2 on the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway track.
 
According to the Orange County Fire Authority, crews found one person trapped between two freight trains which had converged. It was unclear if the trains had collided.
 
The National Transportation Safety Board later disclosed that the victim was a BNSF Railway worker. They said the accident occurred during yard operations.
 
NTSB investigators were dispatched to the scene. The Buena Park Police and Los Angeles County Sheriff’s departments were also assisting with the investigation, along with officials from BNSF Railway.
