Early Morning Crash on Moran Road in Avery Ends in Fatality

 
Avery, CA, CA (February 15, 2023) – At least one person was killed in a traffic accident on Moran Road near Love Creek Road early Tuesday morning.
 
The fatal accident happened shortly before 3:30 a.m. on February 14, just between Pine Brook and Avery Middle School. According to the California Highway Patrol, a vehicle was traveling westbound on Moran Road when it crashed into a tree.
 
First responders confirmed at least one fatality as a result of the accident.
 
The Calaveras County Coroner withheld the victim’s identity pending family notification.
 
It is unknown if drugs or alcohol was a factor in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
