Afternoon Crash on 8 Freeway in Pine Valley Leaves 1 Person Dead

 
PINE VALLEY, CA (October 4, 2022) – One person died in a traffic accident on 8 Freeway in Pine Valley on Saturday afternoon, October 1.
 
The fatal accident happened around 3:22 p.m. at the Pine Valley Road off-ramp. According to the California Highway Patrol, a vehicle was traveling eastbound on the freeway when it crashed at the bottom of the Pine Valley Road off-ramp.
 
When officers arrived, they found one person with fatal injuries from the crash.
 
The name, age and hometown of the victim were not immediately available.
 
It is unclear if there are other injuries sustained in the crash. It is also unknown if drugs or alcohol was a factor.
