Semi Truck and Sedan Collide on Highway 99 in Galt Killing At Least One Person

 
GALT, CA (June 5, 2023) – At least one person was killed in a semi truck accident on Highway 99 in Galt late Saturday afternoon on June 3.
 
The accident happened just before 5:30 p.m. near C Street. According to the California Highway Patrol, the semi truck collided with a sedan in the southbound lanes of highway.
 
When officers arrived, they confirmed at least one fatality as a result of the accident.
 
The name, age and hometown of the victim were not immediately available.
 
Crews closed all lanes of southbound Highway 99 while they cleared the wreckage.
 
The cause of the crash and factors involved are still under investigation.
