40-Year-Old Pedestrian Dies after Struck by Vehicle near West Osborne Street in Panorama City

 
PANORAMA CITY, CA (December 6, 2023) – One person was killed in a pedestrian accident near West Osborne Street and North Van Nuys Boulevard in Panorama City late Monday evening.
 
The fatal accident happened around 10:30 p.m. on December 4. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, a vehicle was traveling northbound on Van Nuys when it struck the 40-year-old pedestrian who was standing in the street.
 
Responding fire crews pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene.
 
The name, gender and age of the victim were not immediately known.
 
The driver of the vehicle stayed on scene and cooperated with officers.
 
It is unknown if drugs or alcohol was a factor in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
