Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Car at Flower and Haley Streets

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (July 25, 2021) – One person was killed in a pedestrian accident at Flower Street and Haley Street in east Bakersfield Friday morning.
 
The accident happened just after 9:00 a.m. on July 23. According to the California Highway Patrol, the pedestrian was walking in the area when a vehicle struck them.
 
First responders provided life-saving aid to the pedestrian, but the unidentified victim died at the scene.
 
It is unknown at this time if the involved driver has stayed or fled after the crash.
 
CHP officials are still investigating the fatality to determine the cause and liability.
