Pedestrian Dies after Struck by Jeep on 10 Freeway in Rialto

 
RIALTO, CA (October 24, 2023) – One person was killed in a pedestrian accident on 10 Freeway in Rialto early Sunday morning on October 22.
 
The fatal accident happened around 1:21 a.m. just east of Riverside Avenue. According to the California Highway Patrol, a red Jeep struck the pedestrian in the right lane of the freeway.
 
The impact caused the pedestrian fatal injuries and they died at the scene.
 
At this time, the identity of the victim was not immediately available.
 
The driver of the Jeep remained on scene and cooperated with officers.
 
It is unknown if drugs or alcohol was a factor. The circumstances of this fatality are still under investigation.
