Fatal T-Bone Accident Occurs on Mooney Boulevard in Visalia

 
VISALIA, CA (April 25, 2021) – Police confirmed that one person died in an accident on Mooney Boulevard on April 21.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at the intersection of Walnut Avenue around 2:30 AM.
 
Based on a report, a Honda Pilot SUV was headed west on Walnut at the time of the crash. At the same time, a Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck was going south on Mooney. Due to unknown reasons, the driver of the Honda ran a red light and T-boned the Chevy.
 
As a result, the driver of the Chevy died at the scene. Officials did not yet release the identity of the victim pending kin notification. Emergency crews transported the driver of the SUV to the hospital with moderate injuries.
 
Visalia Police believed speed was a factor in the incident. At this point, this accident on Mooney Boulevard is still under investigation.
