SACRAMENTO, CA (September 16, 2021) – Police reported a fatality following a multi-vehicle accident on Highway 99 in Stockton early Thursday morning.
 
The accident happened around 2:37 a.m. on September 16, at the Stockton Boulevard on-ramp. According to the Elk Grove Police Department, several vehicles collided for unknown reasons.
 
When officers arrived, they found at least one person with major injuries. Life-saving measures were performed, but the patient died at the scene.
 
The identity of the victim was not immediately available. It is also unknown if drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
 
At this time, the accident is still under investigation.
