Head-On Accident on Highway 173 in Hesperia Kills At Least One

 
HESPERIA, CA (September 16, 2021) – At least one person died in a head-on accident on Highway 173 in Hesperia late Wednesday afternoon.
 
The accident happened around 5:33 p.m. on September 15, at the intersection with Arrowhead Lake Road in front of the Mojave River Forks Regional Park. According to the California Highway Patrol, a black 1999 Subaru Forester and a tan 2003 Buick Century collided head-on for unknown reasons.
 
Firefighters along with paramedics immediately responded and found several parties trapped in one of the vehicles. They provided life-saving measures after extricating the patients.
 
Unfortunately, at least one person did not survive and died at the scene. The identity of the victim was withheld pending next of kin notification.
 
At this time, the exact cause of the crash remains under investigation.
