Multi-Vehicle Accident on Avenue S in Palmdale Leaves One Person Dead

 
PALMDALE, CA (April 29, 2021) – One person was killed in a multi-vehicle accident at Avenue S and 47th Street in Palmdale Tuesday evening, April 27.
 
According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, the accident happened around 8:30 p.m. Video from the scene showed seven vehicles at the scene, including a Mercedes-Benz and Nissan with extensive damage.
 
Deputies did not provide details of how the crash occurred, but they confirmed one fatality as a result of the accident.
 
The name, age and gender of the victim were not immediately available.
 
At this time, it is unknown if drugs or alcohol played a factor. Further investigation is underway.
