Multi-Vehicle Accident on 60 Freeway in Pomona Turns Deadly

 
POMONA, CA (April 22, 2021) – At least one person was killed Tuesday morning after a multi-vehicle accident on 60 Freeway in Pomona.
 
The accident happened around 5:37 a.m. on April 20, at Phillips Ranch Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, at least four vehicles including a Toyota Tacoma and a white Chevrolet Cruze were involved. One of the vehicles overturned on its roof as a result of the impact.
 
Los Angeles County Fire Department crews responded to the scene and confirmed at least one fatality as a result of the crash.
 
The identity of the victim was not immediately available pending next of kin notification.
 
It is unknown if speed, drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
