Three-Vehicle Crash on Highway 49 in San Andreas Injures Three

 
SAN ANDREAS, CA (April 22, 2021) – Three people were injured following a three-vehicle accident on Highway 49 in San Andreas Tuesday afternoon, April 20.
 
The accident happened around 3:15 p.m. north of Highway 12. According to the California Highway Patrol, 86-year-old Narciso Sanchez of Pioneer was driving a 1953 Chevrolet pickup northbound on Highway 49. For unknown reasons, he crossed into the southbound lane over a solid double-yellow line and collided head-on with a 2020 Ford F-150 pickup.
 
The Ford pickup then collided with a 2013 Dodge Caravan that was stopped in the driveway of Highway 49.
 
As a result of the crash, Sanchez suffered major injuries. Emergency crews airlifted him to Memorial Medical Center. He was not wearing a seat belt.
 
The driver of the Ford, 61-year-old Bryan Bowman of Modesto, sustained moderate injuries. The third driver, 69-year-old Linda Henson of San Andreas, had minor injuries.

At this time, CHP officials are still investigating the accident.
