Motorcyclist Dies after Colliding with Vehicle on 880 Freeway in Fremont

 
FREMONT, CA (February 22, 2023) – One person was killed in a motorcycle accident on 880 Freeway in Fremont Sunday night on February 19.
 
The fatal accident happened shortly before 6:20 p.m. just south of Auto Mall Parkway. According to the CHP, the motorcyclist was traveling northbound on the freeway when they collided with a vehicle.
 
When CHP officers arrived, they found the motorcyclist lying in the roadway’s left lane suffering from major injuries.
 
Fremont Fire Department firefighters also responded to the scene, providing emergency life-saving measures, but the motorcyclist died at the scene.
 
The Alameda County Sheriff’s Office Coroner’s Bureau will release the victim’s identity on a later time.
 
There were no other injuries sustained in the crash.
