SACRAMENTO, CA (June 3, 2021) – Officers confirmed that one person died in a pedestrian accident in the 4200 block of Norwood Avenue on June 1.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened shortly before 9:00 PM.
 
Based on a report, officers found a man down in the roadway with major injuries. Prior to that, they said a vehicle struck the man and the driver fled the area before they arrived.
 
Later on, emergency crews pronounced the victim dead at the scene. Officials did not yet release the identity of the victim pending kin notification.

At this point, this pedestrian accident on Norwood Avenue is still under investigation.
