Hit-and-Run Driver Involved in Fatal Accident on Logan Avenue at Sampson Street in San Diego

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (February 14, 2022) – Police confirmed that one person died in a hit-and-run accident on Logan Avenue on January 2.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at Sampson Street at approximately 2:30 PM.
 
Based on a report, the victim was attempting to cross the intersection prior to the crash. Subsequently, a Chevrolet Malibu with temporary Arizona plates struck him. In the end, police said that the suspect initially stopped, but fled the scene later on.
 
Immediately, paramedics transported the victim to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. As a result, he succumbed to his injuries on January 12. Officials only identified him as a 77-year-old man.
 
At this point, this hit-and-run is under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
