Steven Pendley Dies in Los Angeles Pedestrian Accident on 110 Freeway
LOS ANGELES, CA (September 16, 2021) — A pedestrian was hit and killed by cars on the 110 Freeway near 3rd Street, September 7.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal pedestrian crash happened around 5:16 a.m. According to the CHP’s preliminary investigation, a man ran from the right shoulder to the center divider wall. However, an unknown vehicle and a bobtail truck struck him.
50-year-old Steven Pendley died at the scene, according to the Los Angeles County coroner’s office and the CHP. However, his city of residence was not known.
By 5:37 a.m., authorities issued a SigAlert to shut down the connector road at 3rd Street due to investigation. The truck driver remained at the scene and was interviewed by officers.
At this time, officials have not confirmed the ultimate cause of the accident. However, any witnesses with additional information should contact the CHP.
