One Killed in Fiery Accident on Village Drive at Air Express Way [Victorville, CA]

Fiery Accident on Village Drive in Victorville Kills 1 and Seriously Injures Another

 
VICTORVILLE, CA (July 4, 2021) – One person was killed in a fiery accident on Village Drive in Victorville Friday evening, July 2.
 
The accident happened around 7:47 p.m. at Air Express Way. According to the California Highway Patrol, two vehicles collided for unknown reasons. The impact caused one of the vehicles to overturn and burst into flames.
 
Victorville City Fire responded to the area and extinguished the fire. Paramedics provide life-saving aid, but one person died at the scene.
 
Officers requested a helicopter to airlift another person to Loma Linda University Medical Center with major injuries.
 
Crews closed the Village Drive in both directions while the Sheriff’s Major Accident Investigation Team handled the investigation.
 
It is unknown if speed or intoxication played a role in the accident.
