Car Accident on Foothill Boulevard in Upland Kills Driver and Seriously Injures Passenger

 
UPLAND, CA (June 1, 2021) – One person was killed in a car accident on Foothill Boulevard in Upland late Sunday evening, May 30.
 
The accident happened just after 10:00 p.m. near the intersection with Benson Avenue. According to the San Bernardino County Fire Department, a black Acura struck a tree along the center median in the 1600 block of West Foothill Boulevard.
 
The impact caused fatal injuries on the female driver. Arriving units pronounced her dead at the scene.
 
A passenger in the vehicle suffered serious injuries. Paramedics took the victim to a hospital in critical condition.
 
The San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner’s Department will release the identity of the deceased once family members are properly notified.
 
The cause and factors of the crash remain under investigation.
