Pickup Truck Overturns on 10 Freeway in Calimesa Killing At Least One Person

 
CALIMESA, CA (February 7, 2024) – One person was killed in a car accident on 10 Freeway in Calimesa Monday afternoon on February 5.
 
The fatal accident happened shortly after 2:30 p.m. just west of Live Oak Canyon Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, a pickup truck was traveling westbound when went off the freeway and rolled over. It then landed on its side in a ditch up against a chainlink fence.
 
Several motorists stopped to help, but at least one person died at the scene, CHP officials said.
 
It was unclear if there were other injuries sustained in the accident.
 
The exact cause of the crash and factors involved are still under investigation.
