Driver Sustains Minor Injuries after Rear-Ending Semi on 15 Freeway in Cajon Pass

 
CAJON PASS, CA (August 7, 2023) – One person was injured in a rear-end accident on 15 Freeway the Cajon Pass Tuesday morning on August 1.
 
The accident happened around 6:20 a.m. just after the Highway 138 exit. According to the California Highway Patrol, a speeding Jeep Wrangler rear-ended a semi tractor-trailer along the northbound freeway.
 
San Bernardino County Fire Department crews responded and located the Wrangler with major front-end damage.
 
The driver of the Jeep only sustained minor injuries from the crash. The driver of the semi was unharmed.
 
CHP officials said speed was a factor in the crash, which is still under investigation.
