Officers Arrest DUI Suspect after Two Vehicles Collide on 5 Freeway in Red Bluff

 
RED BLUFF, CA (November 27, 2023) – One person was injured in a DUI two-vehicle crash on 5 Freeway in Red Bluff Wednesday night on November 22.
 
The accident happened just before 6:00 p.m., just south of the Flores Avenue off-ramp. According to the California Highway Patrol, a Toyota Tacoma and a Honda SUV were both traveling southbound on the freeway when they collided. The Tacoma then rolled over from the impact.
 
Paramedics took the driver of the Tacoma to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Red Bluff before being airlifted to Enloe Medical Center with moderate injuries.
 
The driver of the Honda SUV was unharmed.
 
Officers later arrested the driver of the Tacoma on suspicion of driving under the influence.
 
Further investigation is underway.
