Willows Accident on 5 Freeway near Highway 20 Leaves One Person Injured

 
WILLOWS, CA (July 15, 2021) — One person sustained injuries in a rollover accident on 5 Freeway near Highway 20 in the area of Willows.
 
According to the authorities, the crash happened at about 5:50 a.m. early Wednesday morning.
 
The California Highway Patrol said a Chevrolet Camaro and another vehicle were southbound on the 5 Freeway just south of County Road 20. The Camaro, which was in the first lane, reportedly made an unsafe lane change into the second lane.
 
As a result, the Camaro struck the trailer of the vehicle in the second lane then it went off the roadway into the center divider. Subsequently, the Camaro overturned and ended up on its roof.
 
Officials confirmed the 22-year-old driver of the Camaro had minor injuries and received treatment in a hospital. The three people in the second vehicle, meanwhile, did not suffer any injuries.
 
This crash remains under investigation.
