Suspect of High-Speed Chase Crashes Another Car near Mount Vernon Street Injuring Driver

 
LEMON GROVE, CA (April 22, 2023) – One person was hurt in a high-speed chase near Mount Vernon Street in Lemon Grove Monday evening last week on April 17.
 
Around 10:00 p.m., San Diego County sheriff’s deputies spotted a car traveling on the wrong side of the road and attempted to pull the vehicle over, but the driver sped away.
 
Deputies lost track of the car as it sped south on Massachusetts Avenue. They located it a short time later after it crashed into another vehicle near Mount Vernon Street.
 
The driver of the other vehicle suffered a minor injury and was taken to the hospital by a family member.
 
The driver who led the chase ran from the wreckage and was yet not located.
 
An investigation is underway.
