GALT, CA (April 11, 2021) – Paramedics transported one person to the hospital following a train accident on Twin Cities Road on April 5.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near the intersection of Midway Avenue.
 
Based on a report, a train was stopped just south of the crossing prior to the crash. At that time, the crossing arms were activated and some other motorists had gone around the gates. However, the stopped train blocked the view of an oncoming northbound locomotive. Then, a Dodge drove through the crossing. At that point, the oncoming train hit the left rear side of the Dodge, causing it to spin out.
 
As a result, the driver of the car sustained minor injuries. Emergency crews transported the victim to a local hospital for treatment.
 
At this point, the authorities are still investigating this train accident on Twin Cities Road.
