FRESNO, CA (August 9, 2021) — A person was hospitalized following an accident near Jensen Avenue and Golden State Boulevard in Fresno.
 
The incident happened on Tuesday and involved a big rig and a pickup truck. According to Fresno Fire officials, the pickup truck was westbound when it jumped the center median. As a result, the pickup got into the eastbound lane and struck an oncoming big rig.
 
The impact left the pickup truck driver trapped inside the vehicle. After a successful extrication by firefighters, medical personnel transported the said driver to a hospital in unknown condition. According to the firefighters, the pickup driver was conscious and was able to communicate.
