STANTON, CA (January 14, 2022) — One person died in a pedestrian accident on Beach Boulevard on Wednesday, January 12.
 
The incident took place near Beach Boulevard and Katella Avenue just after 8:00 p.m. When units arrived at the area, they found a pedestrian under a Chevrolet Sedan.
 
Crews freed the pedestrian but later pronounced them dead at the scene. At this time, the name of the pedestrian is not yet released pending notification of next of kin.
 
The driver of the involved vehicle did not have any injuries. However, authorities evaluated the driver for pot.
 
Officials temporarily closed all lanes of Beach Boulevard at Katella Avenue.
