Lena Adams Hurt in Hit-and-Run Crash on Main Avenue near Greenback Lane

 
ORANGEVALE, CA (January 14, 2022)Lena Adams suffered injuries in a hit-and-run accident during New Year’s celebration in Orangevale.
 
According to California Highway Patrol, the incident took place along Main Avenue, north of Greenback Lane at about 12:20 a.m.
 
In a video shared with a local news source, Adams was seen walking into the roadway. Then she lit what appear to be fireworks before a car hit her. CHP said the car did not stop and continued moving northbound on Main Avenue.
 
First responders quickly responded to the crash scene and performed CPR on Adams. Medics rushed her with serious injuries to the hospital.
 
Now, Adams is still in recovery in a rehab and long-term care facility in Carmichael. Family and friends set up a fundraiser to help her medical expenses.
 
Officers continue to look for the dark grey 2013-2018 Ford C-Max vehicle and a male suspect.
